Unfortunately, Photobucket automatically resizes the image. Here's what it says (transcribed by me, so forgive any typos):

A peek at Paramount's upcoming $70 million-plus fantasy fairy tale

Long Strange Trip
Due in spring 2007, Stardust is the story of a man (Charlie Cox) who travels to a mystical land to catch a falling star for his fair lady (Sienna Miller). Unbeknownst to the besotted lad, the star has transformed into a lovely young lass (Claire Danes).

Getting Her Goat
Michelle Pfeiffer plays a wicked witch out to eat Danes' heart. (Yum.) Here, Pfeiffer, her magic fading, commands a goat-driven chariot (instead of a flashier horse-driven carriage). At least it's not a Ford Pinto.

Raising the Bard?
Robert De Niro stars as the enigmatic Captain Shakespeare, a lightning-peddling pirate who captures Cox and Danes. Seriously.

Speaking of De Niro...
"It's The Princess Bride meets Midnight Run," says director Michael Vaugn (Layer Cake). "Our hero is the De Niro character and the star is Charles Grodin. In our film, they fall in love. Maybe they fell in love in Midnight Run, but that was another cut." -- Tim Stack

Movie stuff [Mar. 17th, 2006|06:38 pm]

Happy St. Pat's day, everyone. :D

If you're not reading Neil Gaiman's blog, you should, because there's some interesting Stardust movie-related bits of info there. XD

Paramount has set Robert DeNiro, Michelle Pfeiffer Claire Danes, Charlie Cox and Sienna Miller to star in "Stardust," an adaptation of the Neil Gaiman novel to be directed by Matthew Vaughn. Pic begins shooting in the U.K. and Iceland next month.)

(And Mark Strong will be playing Septimus.)

Yup, and apparantly they're going up to Scotland to look for locations too. XD

Oh, and I'm thinking of making some icons with quotes from the book. Anyone have any favourite quotes they like?
